چکیده

Geostatistical modeling of petrophysical properties is a key step in modern integrated oil and gas reservoir studies. Recently, generative adversarial networks (GAN) have been shown to be a successful method for generating unconditional simulations of poreand reservoir-scale models. This contribution leverages the differentiable nature of neural networks to extend GANs to the conditional simulation of three-dimensional poreand reservoir-scale models. Based on the previous work of Yeh et al. (2016), we use a content loss to constrain to the conditioning data and a perceptual loss obtained from the evaluation of the GAN discriminator network. The technique is tested on the generation of three-dimensional microCT images of a Ketton limestone constrained by two-dimensional cross-sections, and on the simulation of the Maules Creek alluvial aquifer constrained by onedimensional sections. Our results show that GANs represent a powerful method for sampling conditioned pore and reservoir samples for stochastic reservoir evaluation workflows.1

Improvement of generative adversarial networks for automatic text-to-image generation

This research is related to the use of deep learning tools and image processing technology in the automatic generation of images from text. Previous researches have used one sentence to produce images. In this research, a memory-based hierarchical model is presented that uses three different descriptions that are presented in the form of sentences to produce and improve the image. The proposed ...

Reconstruction of three-dimensional porous media using generative adversarial neural networks

To evaluate the variability of multiphase flow properties of porous media at the pore scale, it is necessary to acquire a number of representative samples of the void-solid structure. While modern x-ray computer tomography has made it possible to extract three-dimensional images of the pore space, assessment of the variability in the inherent material properties is often experimentally not feas...

Automatic Colorization of Grayscale Images Using Generative Adversarial Networks

Automatic colorization of gray scale images poses a unique challenge in Information Retrieval. The goal of this field is to colorize images which have lost some color channels (such as the RGB channels or the AB channels in the LAB color space) while only having the brightness channel available, which is usually the case in a vast array of old photos and portraits. Having the ability to coloriz...

Ways of Conditioning Generative Adversarial Networks

The GANs are generative models whose random samples realistically reflect natural images. It also can generate samples with specific attributes by concatenating a condition vector into the input, yet research on this field is not well studied. We propose novel methods of conditioning generative adversarial networks (GANs) that achieve state-of-the-art results on MNIST and CIFAR-10. We mainly in...

Investigation of pore-scale random porous media using lattice boltzmann method

The permeability and tortuosity of pore-scale two and three-dimensional random porous media were calculated using the Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). Effects of geometrical parameters of medium on permeability and tortuosity were investigated as well. Two major models of random porous media were reconstructed by computerized tomography method: Randomly distributed rectangular obstacles in a uni...
